Premium Bagged Mulch – Choose Black, Red, Brown or Natural Cedar
Premium Bagged Cedar Mulch
Choose Natural, Black, Red or Brown cedar mulch in convenient 3-cubic-foot bags for easy transportation, storage and installation.
Bagged mulch is an excellent choice for smaller landscape projects, properties with limited access and jobs where material must be carried through gates, side yards or finished spaces.
When applied correctly, mulch can help conserve soil moisture, moderate soil temperature, suppress weed growth and create an attractive finished appearance around trees, shrubs and garden beds.

For most established landscape beds, maintain a total mulch depth of approximately 2–3 inches. If mulch is already present, loosen it and measure the existing depth before adding more.
A light refresh may require only about 1 inch. Excessive depth can restrict air and water movement and contribute to plant-health problems.
Keep mulch pulled back from tree trunks, root flares and shrub stems. Mulch piled against bark can trap moisture, encourage decay and conceal damage.
3-Cubic-Foot Bag Calculator
Enter the approximate bed dimensions and desired depth to estimate the number of 3-cubic-foot bags required.
This estimate assumes a rectangular area with uniform depth. Irregular beds, settling and existing material may affect the quantity required.
| Mulch Depth | Approximate Coverage |
|---|---|
| 1 inch | Approximately 36 square feet |
| 2 inches | Approximately 18 square feet |
| 3 inches | Approximately 12 square feet |
Coverage figures are mathematical estimates and do not account for settling, uneven surfaces or existing mulch.
- The project requires a smaller quantity
