Public & Commercial Project Requirements

This blend is supplied by Fanelli Landscape Supply as an NYC Parks- and NYS DOT-approved topsoil blend.

Public projects may have contract-specific soil composition, laboratory testing, submittal or approval requirements. Contractors should confirm the current project specifications and obtain any required documentation before ordering.

Topsoil Depth Depends on the Project
Project General Planning Range
Minor lawn leveling Approximately 1–2 inches where appropriate
New lawn or sod preparation Often approximately 3–6 inches
Garden or planting beds Depends on existing soil, plants and bed design

These are general planning ranges, not universal installation specifications. Existing soil, drainage, grade and project requirements should determine the final depth.
