Plan the Column Before Installation
Columns should be incorporated into the project layout before materials are ordered and the base is prepared.
Determine column placement, spacing and finished height as part of the overall hardscape layout.
Plan the column cap at the same time so dimensions, color and overhang work with the finished column.
If lighting or other approved utilities are part of the design, plan those requirements before construction begins.
