Helleborus Brandywine Lenten rose #2
Tolerant of many different soil types and light situations, Hellebores prefer soil with good drainage and the dappled shade of high trees. They work perfectly well in almost full sun to almost full shade, though flower production will be less in the shade of evergreens or a permanent structure. Hellebores are at their best in average soil moisture, but will tolerate dryness. Wet winter soils encourage root and crown rot.
