A bold, pyramidal evergreen with attractive golden yellow new foliage that matures to a golden green on graceful, arching branches. The densely branched juvenile develops a more open branched habit as it ages, adding a highly artistic, picturesque element to the landscape. An excellent specimen tree for larger landscapes.
Grows easily in a wide range of soil types; avoid poorly drained, soggy sites. Best foliage color in full sun. Water deeply, regularly in first few growing seasons to establish an extensive root system. Once established, reduce frequency; tolerates periodic drought. Feed with a general purpose fertilizer before new growth begins in spring.
